SEOUL, August 4 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics has launched the LG CineBeam Shorts, a compact 4K ultra-short-throw projector that promises to deliver immersive visuals even in tight spaces.
Designed to project a 100-inch screen from just 39.3 centimeters away, the device offers exceptional space efficiency and portability, weighing only 1.9 kilograms.
Continuing the design legacy of last year’s LG CineBeam Cube, the new model features a minimalist, palm-sized build measuring 11 cm in width and 16 cm in height.
It uses RGB laser projection to produce vivid 4K images, covering 154% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and offering a high contrast ratio of 450,000:1—ensuring clear visuals even in bright environments.
The projector includes intelligent features such as automatic screen alignment and focus correction, as well as color adjustment tailored to wall tones.
It also boasts LG’s webOS platform, providing access to OTT platforms and LG’s own FAST (free ad-supported streaming television) service without the need for an external device.
Yoon-Seok Lee, head of LG’s IT Business Division, said the CineBeam Shorts aims to lead the lifestyle projector market by combining powerful performance with sleek design for everyday versatility.
