SEOUL, Nov. 22 (Korea Bizwire) – LG Uplus, one of South Korea’s major telecommunications providers, announced on November 20 the launch of its new ‘Dual Number On/Off’ service, allowing users to control incoming calls to their virtual phone numbers.

The Dual Number service, a mobile add-on that provides users with a second virtual phone number in addition to their primary line, has been enhanced to give subscribers greater control over their dual-line management. The new feature enables users to easily toggle the receiving function of their secondary number on and off.

The service enhancement comes after LG Uplus analyzed user feedback, which revealed that many subscribers use the dual number feature to maintain separation between their professional and personal lives, with a strong demand for better management capabilities of the virtual number.

Available to all LG Uplus mobile service subscribers at a monthly fee of 3,850 won, the new on/off feature can be controlled through the ‘U+ Mobile Manager’ app, the carrier’s integrated service management platform.

Coinciding with the launch, LG Uplus has also updated its U+ Mobile Manager app to include dedicated features for Dual Number users, such as specialized contact management. The revamped app now allows users to modify multiple add-on services simultaneously, streamlining the service management process.
