SEOUL, Sept. 4 (Korea Bizwire) — A subway station in Seoul has been transformed into a gallery where visitors can enjoy various artwork through augmented reality (AR) supported by 5G networking.
LG Uplus Corp. opened the U+5G Gallery at Gongdeok Station on Seoul Subway Line 6, jointly with Seoul Transportation Corp. on Tuesday.
Artwork at the gallery comes to life when visitors view them with U+AR, LG Uplus’ 5G service app.
Individual galleries have been installed at four locations throughout the station, including the subway platform, stairways, and corridors that link to other subway lines.
The gallery is comprised of 88 artworks created by 24 artists.
