SEOUL, Nov. 2 (Korea Bizwire) — The facility that had temporarily accommodated the bodies of the victims of the deadly Halloween crowd crush in Seoul has now turned into a lost-and-found center storing items collected from Itaewon.
A gymnasium in Yongsan ward is currently storing hundreds of clothes, bags, shoes and glasses found at the scene of the stampede.
The authorities collected 256 pairs of shoes, while 66 shoes were found without a pair.
There were also boots found at the scene. Considering how difficult they are to remove, it reflected the urgency and panic at the time.
There were clothes likely worn by those who were excited about Halloween, ripped into pieces during the tragedy.
Among all 126 bags found at the scene as of Tuesday, only one of them found its owner.
