SEOUL, Nov.6 (Korea Bizwire) – Lotte Department Store is expanding its Smart Pick service, which allows customers to pick up products purchased earlier through online shopping sites such as Lotte.com or L-Lotte.
The order cut-off for picking up a purchased item on the same day used to be 10 a.m., but Lotte Department Store announced that it has prolonged the time to 4 in the afternoon. Customers who order products before 4 p.m. online can pick up their merchandise at Lotte Department Store on the same day.
Lotte officials say that since many customers have been using the Smart Pick service because they can receive ordered items quickly, they modified the conditions.
In a survey conducted on 500 Smart Pick users by Lotte Department Store, 60 percent answered that they use the Smart Pick service because items could be collected quickly. However, it turned out that only seven percent picked up purchased items on the same day.
Furthermore, Lotte Department Store is now offering its ‘L.pay’ mobile-based payment system at all of its 34 branches. Previously, L.pay was only available at the company’s main store in Sogong-dong.
To boost the service’s usage, Lotte Department Store will present 3,000 membership points to consumers who spend more than 30,000 won through L.pay before November 15.
