SEOUL, Feb. 14 (Korea Bizwire) – Doosan’s ‘We’ve the Zenith’ in Haeundae, Busan, which has been recognized as the tallest building in Korea since construction was completed in 2011, will soon be handing over the title to the Lotte World Tower in Jamsil, Seoul.

As of the end of last year, the tallest among completely constructed buildings was building number 101 of the Doosan We’ve the Zenith complex, with 80 ground floors, according to a nationwide building survey released on February 13 by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport.

However, when the construction of Lotte World Tower is completed, it will be the tallest building in terms of both number of floors and height with 123 ground floors and a height of 555m.

But this honor of being the tallest building is transient as well. In 2021, the GBC (Global Business Center) of Hyundai Motors Group located in Samseong-dong, Gangnam is expected to be completed.

The GBC is expected to have 105 floors but should reach a height of 569m, which would make it 14m higher than the Lotte World Tower, according to a draft of the construction plans revealed by Hyundai.

Meanwhile, when only the number of floors are considered, the buildings ranked from 1st place to 4th are all situated in Haeundae, Busan.
