SEOUL, Nov.19 (Korea Bizwire) – The Sejong Art Center has established the ‘Sejong Hyundai Motor Gallery’, which was funded by Hyundai Motor to provide a showcase for new types of art. Pieces such as ‘A Collection for ‘I’’ by Lee Yong-beak, and ‘Running Man’ by Matt Pike have been exhibited since November 17.
The Sejong Hyundai Motor Gallery was given the opportunity to use the exterior of the building as a space to screen the latest media art.
Five roll screens were installed on the six main pillars of the Sejong Art Center, and videos are currently being projected on the screens.
The piece by Lee Yong-beak shows a look back at one’s life through the flashy city lights, and Matt Pike’s ‘Running Man’ sends out a message of the circulation of nature.
The pieces are exhibited from 30 minutes after sunset to 11 p.m., and the new gallery will be staging various media art pieces for the next five years.
