SEOUL, Aug. 7 (Korea Bizwire) — A public campaign is being held to encourage coffee drinkers to use tumblers rather than disposable cups this summer.
The Ministry of Environment, jointly with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Korea Zero Waste Movement Network, held a special event on Tuesday at Seoul’s Cheonggye Square to reduce the use of disposable cups, including special giveaways where staff distributed tumblers in exchange for disposable cups.
The ministry plans to continue the event at Yeouido Park on Thursday and Friday, and Sangam Digital Media City on August 12 and 13.
