SEOUL, Feb. 3 (Korea Bizwire) — A new online exhibition platform is expected to serve as a window to introduce promising South Korean artists and galleries to the world.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Arts Management Service jointly announced on Monday the launch of the online exhibition platform Manifold to introduce the nation’s exemplary galleries and promising artists to the global art market.
Manifold was prepared under the auspices of the Grant for Artist Management Program, which was designed to promote exclusive contracts between promising artists and galleries.
Artists and galleries who participate in the program receive financial support for their creative and PR efforts.
The online viewing room-type platform Manifold aims to introduce 11 exemplary galleries that have contributed to the cultivation of exclusive artists, as well as to promote their affiliated 25 artists to the global art community.
Manifold offers images of artwork, explanations and personal profiles of the featured artists, while also introducing affiliated galleries
The site launched in English, with a Korean language section to be developed soon. Art brochures in English will be distributed to major art institutions in and outside of the country.
