DAEJEON, Feb. 25 (Korea Bizwire) — The Korea Minting, Security Printing & ID Card Operating Corp. (KOMSCO) said Thursday it will begin selling the Park Hang-seo commemorative medal, released in South Korea last year, in Vietnam as well.
The medal celebrating Park, the South Korean head coach of the Vietnamese men’s national football team, depicts his cheering with football fans.
The medal also uses latent image technology to display the “taegeuk” emblem and a star, symbolizing South Korea and Vietnam, from different angles.
The back of the medal depicts the moment when the Vietnamese men’s national football team scored a goal during the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup final held at Hanoi Miding Stadium in 2018.
Park’s famous quote that says “You did your best, so keep your chin up,” has also been inscribed on the medal in both Korean and Vietnamese.
