JEJU, April 12 (Korea Bizwire) — On a recent sunny spring day, the beautiful sound of piano resonated throughout the first floor lobby at Jeju National University Hospital in Jeju Island.
The source of the music was pianist Lee Eun-hyung, 35, whose father, Lee Chang-hyo, 64, has been receiving chemotherapy at the hospital since 2017.
Now, he has been moved to hospice care, where patients suffering from terminal stage cancer can meet their final moments in peace, free from pain and suffering.
The hospital accepted Lee Eun-hyung’s offer to hold a musical performance at the hospital that may be “the last performance for her father.” Lee is expecting to get married this autumn.
The concert was held by inviting a minimum number of guests and audience members, including Lee’s family and hospital staff.
