SEOUL, Sept. 27 (Korea Bizwire) – POSCO Engineering & Construction Co., the construction arm of South Korea’s leading steelmaker, POSCO, said Monday it had developed a botanical garden café called Plantrium for apartment complexes.
Plantrium is a multi-leisure space where users can enjoy views of the botanical garden while eating salad and drinking tea.
Unlike conventional apartment landscaping spaces that exist outside apartment complexes, Plantrium will be installed as a large greenhouse-style structure at the center of apartment complexes, thereby ensuring better access and usability for residents.
Residents can make and eat salads by picking vegetables on their own at the LED vegetable farm located on Plantrium’s underground floor, which can be accessed via the complex’s parking lots.
They also can take a walk through Plantrium’s media wall and outdoor deck space, which are connected to the first floor.
Located in the upper part of the multi-leisure space are a botanical café, vegetable hotels and hospitals that allow users to keep pet plants during trips or business travel.
