CHEONGJU, Apr. 11 (Korea Bizwire) — The 17th Annual Cheongnamdae Ultra Marathon Competition will be held around the area of Cheongnamdae, a presidential vacation villa located in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province.
A total of 700 marathon enthusiasts will run 100 kilometers from 4 p.m. on April 13 to 8 a.m. on the following day, starting at the main gate of Cheongnamdae main building, passing the Daecheong lakeside and returning to Cheongnamdae.
There are 100 challengers who entered the so-called ‘Hall of Fame’ for participating in all 17 races. Including the 100 honorary runners, 400 people have participated in the event for five consecutive years.
The race’s organizing committee and the management office at Cheongnamdae plan to deploy volunteers and safety personnel and provide participants with bottled water and late-night meals.
