SEOUL, Nov. 14 (Korea Bizwire) – Samsung Electronics said on November 13 that it would debut a special edition of the Samsung Curved ultra HD TV in the world’s largest fine arts auction to be held by Christie’s Hong Kong from the 20th and donate all the proceeds to charities.
In partnership with modern artist Hong Sung-Yong, Samsung created an “art TV” titled “Remembrance of the TV,” the gilted curved ultra HD TV with a painting image in the back completed with lacquer varnishing.
The TV will be on display to the public during the Christie’s Hong Kong preview period to be open at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center for three days. The Korean company will provide five 65-inch and a 78-inch curved TVs to the auction house so that they can be used as illustrated guidebooks for the visitors.
