SEOUL, Jan. 15 (Korea Bizwire) —  Samsung Electronics announced today its strategic expansion into the hotel television market with its innovative ‘The Frame,’ the world’s first ‘Art TV.’

The Frame distinguishes itself with its ‘Art Mode,’ allowing the display of artwork and photographs even when powered off. Its picture frame-like bezel and slim-fit wall-mount design seamlessly blend technology with interior aesthetics.

Hotel managers can customize the ambiance of guest spaces by leveraging Art Mode, which automatically adjusts brightness and color tones according to ambient lighting conditions.

Building on its momentum, Samsung is extending The Frame—which debuted as the official display at Art Basel, the world’s largest art fair, last year—to its hotel TV lineup. This move aims to offer guests a distinctive and immersive viewing experience.

Enhancing in-room convenience, all 2025 Samsung hotel TV models will support wireless content sharing through Google Cast and Apple AirPlay. Guests can effortlessly stream content from their smartphones or tablets to the TV by scanning a QR code, eliminating the need for external devices or login procedures.

Additionally, paired device information is automatically deleted upon checkout, ensuring privacy and security.

Samsung has also upgraded the hotel TV operating system to Tizen 9.0 for improved operational efficiency. Tailored solutions like ‘Link Cloud’ for hotel TV management and ‘SmartThings Pro,’ a B2B integrated connectivity platform, will streamline device management for hospitality providers.

Jung Hoon, Vice President of Samsung’s Visual Display Business, stated, “Our 2025 hotel TV lineup will deliver a more sophisticated and personalized experience, enhancing guest satisfaction. With the newly launched hotel version of The Frame and our innovative solutions, we are committed to leading the global hotel TV market.”

This strategic push reflects Samsung’s broader ambition to redefine in-room entertainment and solidify its presence in the hospitality technology sector.
