SEOUL, Feb. 11 (Korea Bizwire) — A massive display made by Samsung Electronics Co. has been installed in the center of the stadium hosting the Super Bowl next week.
The tech giant announced that it had supplied the ultra large-sized 360-degree oval LED display to SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
The oval display will hang 37 meters above the center of the Stadium. With a length of about 110 meters and an area of 6,500 square meters, it is the largest single screen in the world. Its total weight is estimated at 997 tons.
In a first among displays installed at sports stadiums, the screen will support 4K image quality on both sides, enabling viewers to enjoy replays and close-up scenes in a more vivid manner.
During the game, player records and team scores will be displayed on the screen in real-time. In particular, its high viewing angle will enable spectators to enjoy the content without distortion from any seat in the stands.
