SEOUL, Oct. 6 (Korea Bizwire) – Samsung Electronics announced Thursday that it will start to offer its flagship Galaxy Note 7 in a new color, Black Onyx, on Friday. The smartphone giant resumed sales of the Galaxy Note 7 on October 1 following weeks of controversy resulting from some of its phablets catching fire.
The phone has so far been introduced in three colors – Silver Titanium, Gold Platinum, and Blue Coral – and the company is now hoping to make up for its embarrassing recall with a complete Galaxy Note 7 lineup.
“The new Galaxy Note 7 incorporates the simplest, yet most attractive color: Black Onyx,” said a Samsung official. “And by launching Black Onyx, which is among the most popular colors for Korean consumers, we expect another round of enthusiasm for the Galaxy Note 7.”
