SEOUL, April 8 (Korea Bizwire) —  Samsung Electronics has unveiled a major update to its Galaxy S25 series, integrating real-time visual artificial intelligence powered by multimodal capabilities. The new feature allows users to interact with AI by showing, rather than telling — a leap forward in intuitive mobile assistance.

According to an announcement from Samsung’s newsroom on Tuesday, the update enables Galaxy S25 users to ask questions and receive responses simply by pointing their camera at objects or surroundings, eliminating the need to describe the scene verbally.

By long-pressing the dedicated AI button on the side of the Galaxy S25, users activate the Gemini Live “real-time screen sharing” mode. This function allows users to engage in natural, voice-based conversations with the AI assistant while sharing live visuals through the phone’s camera.

For example, users unsure about what to wear can point the camera at their wardrobe, prompting the AI to recommend outfits based on the day’s weather. Similarly, when unsure how to care for a specific item of clothing, users can ask questions like, “How should I wash this sweater?” and receive tailored guidance—such as whether it’s safe to use hot water or a dryer.

The update to the Gemini app began rolling out Monday, and the real-time screen sharing feature is available free of charge for all Galaxy S25 users.

Samsung’s latest AI enhancement signals its commitment to building more seamless and context-aware user experiences, positioning the Galaxy S25 series at the forefront of next-generation mobile technology.
