SEOUL, Sept. 4 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics is turning Seoul’s busiest landmarks into canvases for oversized digital art installations to showcase its latest foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, blending Korean tradition with cutting-edge technology.

The company said Wednesday it has begun displaying panoramic digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising at Seoul Station, where a massive installation stretches 91 meters in length and 5.5 meters in height, wrapping the interior in a sweeping 610-square-meter media wall.

The campaign integrates traditional Korean imagery with Samsung’s new Galaxy AI features. One sequence depicts the Z Fold 7 unfolding like a traditional folding screen, while the Z Flip 7 merges seamlessly with motifs from folk paintings. Generative AI is used to change clothing on a male model, while Galaxy’s Gemini Live recommends traditional accessories — a gat for the man and a daenggi ribbon for the woman.

Samsung said the campaign is designed to capitalize on the global wave of K-culture, presenting its foldables as both technological and cultural icons.

From September 5, the installations will expand to other key sites, including Myeongdong’s Shinsegae Square, Gwanghwamun’s KT Square, COEX Mall in Gangnam, and Grove Way at Magok’s One Grove complex.
