SEOUL, June 6 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics announced today the launch of Samsung Kiosk, a smart ordering solution powered by the Windows operating system (OS), in South Korea.
This all-in-one product allows for product selection, ordering, and payment, and is being utilized in various establishments such as restaurants, cafes, pharmacies, convenience stores, and supermarkets.
Expanding consumer choice, Samsung now offers products powered by Windows OS alongside its Tizen OS offerings from 2021. The new product, based on Windows 10 IoT Enterprise, features a 24-inch touch display, 11th generation Intel Core processor, 256GB SSD storage, and 8GB of memory.
It incorporates all essential kiosk features without requiring a separate PC and supports various functionalities such as card reader, receipt printer, QR-barcode scanner, NFC, and Wi-Fi.
The new kiosk was awarded the best product at ISE 2023, Europe’s largest display exhibition held in Barcelona, Spain. In South Korea, Yanolja Cloud, a leading provider for hotels and leisure spaces worldwide, will receive 1,000 units of the new kiosk.
