Samsung Set to Accept Pre-orders for Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Edition

SEOUL, May 26 (Korea Bizwire) – Samsung Electronics will accept pre-orders for its Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Edition from May 27 in Korea. The electronics giant will limit sales of the special edition to 1,000 units.

Motivated by Iron Man’s armor in Marvel’s Avengers series, the limited edition Galaxy S6 Edge draws inspiration from the famous suit, with red and gold design cues.  

The back cover features a golden Iron Man mask and limited edition serial numbers from 0001 to 1000. The curved 64GB device has the same product specifications as the existing Galaxy S6 Edge, and can be used with any of the top three mobile carriers in Korea.

The package, which includes an “arc reactor” wireless charger and a clear cover, is priced at around 1.2 million won (US$1,089). Pre-orders can be made at Samsung’s online store (www.samsung.com/sec/shop/) starting at 10am on May 27.  Delivery will be made at the end of May on a first come, first served basis.

Samsung will offer the first 100 applicants a special Avengers briefcase and two tickets for the Marvel Avengers Station exhibition, where attendees can experience all of the Marvel heroes with Samsung Galaxy Gear. Samsung is an active promoter of Marvel’s latest mega-hit film “Avengers – Age of Ultron.”
