SEOUL, June 21 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics Co. is showcasing a series of artworks created by recycling props from refrigerator advertisements.
The tech giant said Tuesday it has collaborated with upcycling artists Lee Kyu-han and Kim Eun-ha to transform props like film sets and costumes, originally used to convey the energy-saving philosophy of Bespoke refrigerators, into unique artistic expressions.
Lee, a furniture artist known for utilizing everyday materials, designed tables and chairs using the satin sage green panels from the refrigerators and the artificial walls from the film sets.
Inspired by desserts and various food ingredients such as cakes and donuts, Kim, a specialist in recycling old clothes, created artwork by repurposing the costumes featured in the commercials.
