SEOUL, June 5 (Korea Bizwire) – Samsung C&T Corporation has launched an outdoor robot delivery service catering to residents of Raemian apartments that makes use of the Dilly delivery robot.

With just a click, the service fetches food and beverages from nearby stores and transports them directly to the apartment complex. The pilot program is currently operational at Raemian Leaders One in Seocho-dong, Seocho-gu.

On June 4, Samsung C&T announced its collaboration with Neubility, an autonomous robot service company, to operate the new service. This innovative service links apartment complexes with external commercial establishments through outdoor robot deliveries.

When residents place orders for food or drinks, autonomous robots stationed within the complex navigate through alleys and crosswalks to retrieve the items from stores and transport them back to the complex.

The robots providing this service have obtained operational safety certifications and are insured, ensuring a secure experience for customers. Notably, the service offers free delivery with no minimum order requirements.

All residents will receive purchase coupons, and the top monthly user will be eligible for additional rewards.

Samsung C&T plans to run the pilot program until September. Subsequently, the company intends to expand the delivery scope to include personal parcels and mail, bringing them directly to residents’ doorsteps.

“Robots will increasingly integrate into daily life, adding convenience for our residents,” stated Cho Hye-jung, head of Samsung C&T’s DxP Business Division. “Based on the results of this pilot, we will extend the service to other eligible residential complexes.”

Lee Sang-min, CEO of Neubility, highlighted the service’s user-centric design, saying, “Our focus has been on maximizing user satisfaction. Moving forward, we will continue to provide services that enhance the quality of life for residents.”
