SEOUL, July 28 (Korea Bizwire) – Samsung Electronics Co. will showcase a visual archive of the 20th century through its “The Frame,” a premium TV which comes with stylish frame-like design to display artwork or photos when not in use.
The tech giant said it had formed a partnership with the LIFE Picture Collection to offer a selection of 20 high-quality photograph artworks through the Samsung Art Store, a The Frame-dedicated subscription platform, starting from Thursday.
LIFE Picture Collection is a visual archive of the 20th century, capturing more than 10 million photographs of historically significant figures and moments in time.
Thanks to this partnership, Samsung Art Store users will be able to experience history through stunning pictures, with subjects ranging from the pop culture of the 20th century, including art, fashion and leisure, to historic figures such as Pablo Picasso and Marilyn Monroe.
The Frame currently provides about 2,000 artworks in collaboration with about 50 partners across the country.
Through a regular subscription service, users can enjoy all of the artworks without limits or purchase the artworks they want to permanently possess.
For consumers who purchase the 2022 version of the lifestyle TV, Samsung offers the right to use the Samsung Art Store for two months for free.
