SEOUL, Jan. 11 (Korea Bizwire) — According to a survey of 1,000 citizens over 19 years old from December 6 to 11 conducted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, 94.9 percent of respondents were satisfied with the city’s bicycle-sharing service.
The satisfaction level has continued to rise, from 85.5 percent in the first half of 2016 and 91.1 percent in first half of 2017.
Of the respondents, 38.9 percent have used the bicycle-sharing service at least once, and 88 percent answered that the service helped improve their lives.
Seoul also offers other sharing programs, such as car sharing, shared children clothes and toys and shared parking spaces. All of the programs showed high satisfaction.
Citizens chose the shared parking spaces program as the most needed program, with 95.7 percent of respondents agreeing that the program should be expanded.
Shared parking spaces refers to a program in which idle spaces for parking such as resident parking spaces and construction site parking spaces are shared.
Even those who did not know about the program were willing to use the shared parking spaces in the future.
