SEJONG, Jan. 28 (Korea Bizwire) — The Sejong city government said Wednesday that it had introduced an artificial intelligence (AI) medical image analysis assistance system in two locations – the Sejong City Health Center, and the Southern Integrated Health Center.
This system is a cloud-based AI technology that can detect the location of solitary pulmonary nodules and pneumothorax and calculate the probability of disease before doctors diagnose lung disease on the basis of X-ray images.
The AI system can identify lung diseases within 20 seconds at an accuracy rate of 94 percent.
It will be used for general treatments and consultations at the health centers after they return to normal operations in the post-pandemic future.
“The AI system will contribute to making chest X-ray inspections faster and more accurate.” an official at the public health center said.
