SEOUL, Aug. 28 (Korea Bizwire) — The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced Thursday that ‘Green Healing Offices’ have been set up using air-purifying plants at five locations including district offices and community centers.
Green Healing Offices include bio-walls and flowerpot cubicles that make use of air-purifying plants.
They contribute to improved air quality in the office by reducing concentration levels of volatile organic compounds, ultrafine dust, and other air pollutants.
Research shows that the overall level of volatile organic compounds, ultrafine dust (PM2.5 – particles in the air smaller than 2.5 microns in diameter), carbon dioxide cropped after the Green Healing Offices were set up, while noise was also reduced.
In addition, indoor humidity maintained an ideal range of 50 to 60 percent, with office users showing improved capacity to cope with stress.
