SEOUL, May 8 (Korea Bizwire) — Seoul’s city government has announced that it will be giving out agricultural and livestock products to each elementary, middle, and high school student in the city.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government, 25 city districts, and the Seoul Office of Education announced Thursday an initiative to give out food to help the agricultural sector and parents suffering from delays to the start of the school year as well as the inconvenience of online classes.
Each of the 860,000 elementary, middle and high school students, and those from other educational institutions will receive 100,000 won (US$81.93) worth of agricultural and livestock products.
The package will include rice and agricultural or livestock products each worth 30,000 won. The remaining 40,000 won will be offered as points to be spent at online shopping malls.
