SEOUL, Korea, Oct 22 (Korea Bizwire) – A new smartphone app that shows an image of your business card or a picture of yours on the screen of a smartphone on the other side of the line has been launched. After you hang up the phone call, the app even shows your social networking IDs for further contact. Seven Co., the mobile app developer, said on October 21 that it has made available a new app called “Lion” doing just that. The app can be downloaded on Google Play Store.

Once the app is downloaded, every call to others can send business card information or photo of yours as well. Before doing that, the user can also create a customized business card out of the business card templates. Your photo can be modified with a Photoshop-like program in the app. The user can choose to reveal her business card or photo depending on who to call. For example, if the contact person is a business associate, clicking on the business card can link directly to her company website. For personal friends, clicking on your photo can connect to your blog, Facebook, or Twitter account.

The company has applied for a patent for the app technology. Lim Jae-won, president of Seven Co., said, “According to market research firm Gallup Korea, the average number of incoming calls for Korea’s smartphone users is eight. Our Lion app has a high potential for growth as it can be intimately used in everyday life for business or personal purposes.”

In December the company will introduce a new version of Lion with features that show wishlist items that the smartphone user wants to buy on the screen on the other side of the line, which will allow direct links to social commerce and other online service sites. In addition, the new version will include features that show up corporate information when a company calls a Lion app user. Mr. Lim added, “We want to grow Lion as the preferred app by corporate users as well as personal users who connect with their friends, family, and loved ones.”
