SEOUL, June 8 (Korea Bizwire) – Korea’s burger fans will finally get to taste the delectable offerings of one of the most popular hamburger franchises in New York City: Shake Shack. Best known for its burger and milk shake combo, Shake Shack is an American fast casual restaurant.
Last year, Korean food and confectionary giant SPC Group signed an exclusive management contract with the burger franchise. The group revealed Monday that the construction process for the first store has been initiated in the famous Gangnam district, and the grand opening is planned for some time in July or August.
“Gangnam is one of the most vibrant and energetic areas of Seoul,” said an SPC official. “It’s the perfect place to reenact the dynamic atmosphere of Shake Shack’s flagship restaurant in Madison Square Park.”
