SEOUL, Jan. 4 (Korea Bizwire) – SK Telecom announced on January 4 the release of its new child-friendly LTE smartphone, the ‘ZEM Phone Pokémon Edition 2′. This device is tailored to the needs and safety of young users.
The smartphone features a 5.8-inch high-definition (HD) Plus display and is equipped with a 3,350mAh battery. It boasts a dual camera setup with 50 million and 5 million pixels and includes IP68-rated water and dust resistance.
The ZEM Phone comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. A notable feature of the smartphone is the ‘Safe Care’ function, which addresses safety concerns for both children and parents.
By pressing a button on the side for more than 5 seconds, the phone sends the location to a guardian registered in the ZEM app through an SOS function. It also has a call and message blocking feature for numbers not in contacts or specially set numbers.
The smartphone is loaded with services and applications designed to foster proper habits in children in areas such as daily life, finances, and language learning. It also comes packaged with Pokémon-themed accessories, including a transparent case, character keyring, initial parts, and stickers.
All products have received KC certification, ensuring that they are free from harmful substances and safe for children to use, as stated by SK Telecom.
Customers who purchase the ZEM Phone Pokémon Edition 2 and log in to KakaoBank mini for the first time by December 31 will receive 5,000 won. There is also a back-to-school promotion until March 31, offering 5,000 won to the guardians of customers who complete the guardian consent process.
