SEOUL, Feb. 19 (Korea Bizwire) — An art exhibition is being held through a video app as the coronavirus is preventing the public from freely visiting art galleries.
On Thursday, Arts Council Korea introduced Switch On, a smartphone app that allows art enthusiasts to access various art exhibitions.
It is the first of its kind, and allows users to access a variety of video artworks via single app. The app exhibition will be open until June 11, introducing 17 South Korean artists from various generations.
Some 60 artworks combining sounds of machines, light, plants, and others rendered through AI and VR technology will be presented at the exhibition.
Switch On provides access to various videos including commentary on artworks, how the artworks were made, and interviews with artists.
