IKSAN, Sept. 24 (Korea Bizwire) – The city of Iksan in North Jeolla Province announced on September 23 that it will host the 2024 Horror Hologram Festival on September 26, transforming a former prison set into a cutting-edge spectacle of fear and technology.
Now in its third year, the festival uniquely blends the concept of horror with holographic technology, using the atmospheric backdrop of Iksan’s popular tourist attraction, a decommissioned prison turned film set.
This year’s event, themed “HOTEL 207: An Invitation from Death,” promises an enhanced content experience for thrill-seekers and technology enthusiasts alike.
Beyond the central holographic horror attractions, the festival will offer a variety of side events, aiming to provide visitors with a memorable and multifaceted experience.
Prospective attendees can make reservations through the official website (www.holofest.kr) until September 25. Those who book in advance will receive priority for both entry to the festival grounds and access to the horror hologram content experiences.
While there are no age restrictions for general admission to the festival, organizers have stipulated that children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult guardian when participating in the holographic horror experiences.
A city official expressed enthusiasm for this year’s offerings, stating, “We’ve planned the festival with even more powerful and distinctive storytelling-based horror content and diverse programs.”
The spokesperson added, “We hope to see strong interest and participation in this horror hologram festival, which aims to evoke extreme fear through holographic technology.”
