SEOUL, Dec. 12 (Korea Bizwire)An increasing number of streaming service subscribers are frequently canceling and joining other streaming platforms as they look for new series and other videos.

These subscribers pay for a subscription on a streaming platform, enjoy the videos available to them until the subscription expires, and move on to a different streaming service.

For example, a subscriber would watch Netflix in December, Disney+ in January, and Tving in February.

Streaming services are looking for ways to prevent subscribers from canceling their subscriptions, just to move on to a different platform.

Netflix, for one, often unveils complete episodes on the day of the series’ release, which enables subscribers to immerse themselves in the series and bring about huge reactions.

This, however, widens the vacuum period between the new series and the next, carrying the risk of subscribers leaving the platform once the series is over.

Other platforms like Disney+, Wavve, Tving and Watcha unveil new episodes not at once but one by one on a regular basis.

While this helps to retain subscribers, it becomes more difficult to arouse wide interest in a certain series, with late reactions.
