TAEAN, March 4 (Korea Bizwire) — A new walkway has been built at Mallipo Beach in Taean County, South Chungcheong Province, where visitors can enjoy the beauty of the West Sea and the landscape of a famous surfing destination.
The county announced Wednesday that the new walkway connects Mootdak Island and Chollipo Arboretum located near the beach.
Construction on the new walkway began in January of last year with an investment of 1.24 billion won (US$1.1 million).
The walkway will soon be open to the public, once safety probes are complete, the county said.
The new walking path consists of a walkway over the sea (180 meters), where visitors can enjoy the sensation of walking over the water, and a forest walkway (155 meters).
