JEONJU, Feb. 13 (Korea Bizwire) — Traditional gardens will be constructed in Jeonju Hanok Village, located in North Jeolla Province.
The city of Jeonju plans to turn a 1,396-square-meter parking lot into a traditional garden by the end of this month.
The garden is expected to feature an outdoor stage for various performances and a traditional pond that emphasizes Jeonju’s traditional image.
The ground will be paved with traditional flat stones, on which various traditional buildings will be built to recall the old spirit of the Hanok Village.
The garden will become home to kerrias, willow-leaf spiraeas, and 700 different kinds of trees as well as 9,000 kinds of flowers, including thyme and blue feather grass.
