SEOUL, Dec.16 (Korea Bizwire) – Uber Technology has announced that it signed an agreement with KEB Hana Bank and Hana Capital to provide financial services to Uber Taxi and Uber Black.
With the signing of the agreement, taxi drivers who use the Uber platform will be provided with various financial services by the two organizations.
Firstly, if the drivers of Uber Partners use their account at KEB Hana Bank for business, they will be exempted from commission fees.
As well, individually licensed drivers can receive additional financial service benefits provided by Hana Financial Group, including preferential interest rates for loans.
Uber Korea is currently managing its ‘Uber TAXI’ service, through which it connects ordinary taxis and passengers with a mobile application. The company has also signed an agreement with Kia Motors to launch ‘Uber BLACK’, which is a premium taxi service.
Uber Black will start service as soon as drivers are recruited, trained and the approval of the Seoul Metropolitan Government is finalized.
