SEOUL, Korea, Dec 19 (Korea Bizwire) – SmartHouse, a cloud-based web application provider, said on December 18 that it has launched an employee attendance tracking service using the smartphone. As old smartphones can be used as near-field communication terminals, there is no need to purchase dedicated terminals that cost 200,000 to 300,000 won each. All the attendance data are saved on the cloud server in real time and can be checked online from any device.
Choi Yoon-yong, president of the Korea Outsourcing Cooperative, said, “The smartphone-based attendance tracking app does away with initial investment cost because it takes advantage of each employee’s subway fare card.”
