SEOUL, Sep. 21 (Korea Bizwire) – Yuhan-Kimberly Huggies said on September 18 that it held a unique fashion show on the 17th featuring small children wearing dresses made of tissue used for baby wipes. Making of clothes based on baby wet tissue and a fashion show of this kind is rare in Korea and elsewhere. The company said it organized the show to promote the natural soft pulp tissue friendly to baby skin.
The nine toddlers and children showed off natural pulp-based dresses on the catwalk. All the dresses were made from tissue produced in the Daejeon plant of Yuhan-Kimberly for its Huggies wet baby wipes. A Yuhan-Kimberly official said, “We came up with an idea of holding a fashion show to underscore the excellent properties of our baby wipe tissue. The children models did a marvelous job in appealing the natural feel of the fabric.”
Yuhan-Kimberly’s Daejeon plant is fully equipped with producing the tissue from the beginning to the end and exports to several markets including New Zealand, Australia, China, and Singapore. During the second half of this year, its exports rose 40 percent from the previous six months.
