YONGIN, Aug. 30 (Korea Bizwire) — Following in the footsteps of popular attractions “Horror Village”, “Horror Maze” and “Horror Safari 2014″, Everland will unveil another fear-and-fun inducing activity called “Blood City” on September 7.
The legend of Blood City is chronicled in 100,000 square meters of “urban” sprawl encompassing the Alpine Area, Amazon Express and Safari World, where a particularly virulent strain of an unnamed virus spread throughout the city 10 years ago, causing the authorities to place the city under complete lockdown to prevent an epidemic.
Strangely enough, there are reports of a rescue signal having been sighted, which means that Everland visitors get to assume the honor of venturing into the mysterious area to look for survivors and figure out what happened.
If the premise feels like it was lifted from the synopsis of the latest zombie blockbuster, Everland is making sure that the attraction will also look the part. At the entrance to the city will be a “Madame Zombie’s Makeup Salon” where presumably Madame Zombie will be more than happy to turn people into zombies with nothing more than a brush and a flick (hopefully).
As a spoiler, there will be 100 highly experienced zombie actors milling about in the compound that was created with the assistance of a film set designer.
Without giving too much away, nightly instances of “Crazy Zombie Hunt” where dozens of zombies will rush unsuspecting visitors, zombie flash mobs and “Selfies with Zombies” will all be part of the zombie experience.
For those with a particular dislike of masses of undead chasing after them, Everland’s official website and social media accounts have a guide on mastering the “Zombie Repellent Move”, which would (maybe) strike fear in the cold, non-beating hearts of the ghoulish swarm.
Families with young children who would prefer not to be traumatized can opt for the dialed down “Boo Street” and play games and undertake missions to win Halloween Candy from employees in drapes and top hats.
Other mainstays of the “Horror” series Horror Maze and Horror Safari will also be available to those who wish to maximize their opportunities for zombie exposure.
All the while, visitors should keep their eyes open for the magical appearance of a Halloween wizard who will pop up throughout the park and put on a variety of magic tricks and shows. It will be up to the visitors to persuade the wizard to stop wasting time performing gimmicks and get to eradicating the zombie virus before all is lost.
