SEOUL, Feb. 22 (Korea Bizwire) – A new room dedicated to showcasing Korean folk culture will be launched on Friday at the National Museum of Ethnography in Poland.
The Korean exhibit at the museum in Warsaw, Poland is funded by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Mazovia provincial government, according to the National Folk Museum on Thursday.
The room located on the second floor of the National Museum of Ethnography will show traditional Korean folk culture, displaying examples of old architecture and food, as well as videos and photos in its 169-square-meter space.
In celebration of the opening, a Korean culture week organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Poland will be held starting from tomorrow, featuring a musical performance, a lecture and a screening.
“The new Korea room is meaningful as South Korea and Poland are set to mark their 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations. The room will be in place for at least the next 15 years,” an official at the National Folk Museum said.
