SEOUL, Aug. 6 (Korea Bizwire) — As more consumers are concerned with their health due to the coronavirus pandemic, not-from-concentrate (NFC) juice, made from 100 percent fruits and vegetables without any sugar or other chemical substances, are gaining popularity.
Market Kurly, an online grocery delivery platform, reported that NFC juice sales jumped by 57 percent between January and July, compared to the same period in the previous year.
NFC juice is 15 to 40 percent more expensive than normal juice. Nevertheless, Market Kurly sold 1.8 times more than normal juice sales, which reached a 32 percent increase.
In February, NFC juice sales jumped by 138 percent with the coronavirus outbreak. In June, sales increased by 73 percent.
As the coronavirus is prompting consumers to take more interest in nutritious products, demand for healthier products is on the rise, Market Kurly explained.
