SEOUL, Dec. 15 (Korea Bizwire) — The National Assembly Secretariat announced Wednesday the deployal of an artificial intelligence (AI) robot that provides guide tours and answers questions.
The self-driven robot, dubbed “QI,” offers commentary about the National Assembly in four languages — Korean, English, Chinese and Japanese.
A six-week trial ended successfully, and the robot began official service on Tuesday.
The secretariat designated the robot as the National Assembly’s No. 1 robot official, receiving a government employee badge directly from National Assembly Secretary-General Lee Kwang-jae and Korean Culture Information Service Agency Director Hong Hee-kyung.
