Asiana Airlines Holds Engineering Class for Female Middle School Students

SEOUL, Sept. 8 (Korea Bizwire) – Asiana Airlines held a special science and engineering class for female students at its second aircraft hangar at Incheon Airport on Thursday as part of K-girls Day, an event devised to raise awareness and interest in engineering among women.

According to the airline on Friday, the education program was held with the help of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology to give young female students opportunities to experience jobs in the STEAM fields – science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics – in order to encourage them to pursue related careers.

During this year’s work experience class, some 30 female students from Dongpae Middle School participated.
