SEOUL, June 13 (Korea Bizwire) — BMW Group Korea said Monday it has opened an electric vehicle (EV) charging station at the Hilton Gyeongju in the city of Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province.
The charging station features one rapid charger and three slow chargers, with the capacity to charge up to eight cars simultaneously.
The design of the station draws inspiration from Korean traditional houses, commonly known as “hanok,” reflecting Gyeongju’s status as a city renowned for its traditional cultural heritage.
BMW Group Korea had 877 EV chargers in operation throughout the country as of December.
The company has plans to install a minimum of 20 additional charging stations nationwide, with the goal of operating over 1,100 chargers across the country.
