BUSAN, Apr. 22 (Korea Bizwire) — The 2015 Pink Ribbon Marathon will be held in Haeundae, Busan on April 26.
Organized by Amore Pacific and the Korea Breast Cancer Foundation, the marathon festival is held to campaign for active breast cancer self-checkups among Korean women, and has been running for fifteen years.
All participation fees will be donated to Pink Ribbon campaign programs supporting breast cancer patients. About 5,000 people dressed in pink outfits will run around Haeundae.
The Pink Ribbon Marathon does not end in Busan, as there will be a series of marathons in Daejeon, Gwangju, Daegu and Seoul until October.
The Pink Ribbon Marathon will also provide information on self-checkups with seminars and free examination stalls at Haeundae. Facebook, Hera and Aritaum, the brands sponsoring the campaign, will be also presenting various programs.
