SEOUL, March 29 (Korea Bizwire) – A circus production inspired by Salvador Dali’s surrealistic painting Mad Tristan will be showcased in Korea from April 27 to 30 at the LG Arts Center in Seoul.
The production, dubbed La Verita, is a collaboration of theater, dance, music, arts, and acrobatics with Dali’s painting as its backdrop. “It’s going to be two hours of surrealistic visuals as if the painting came to life,” said the local arts center.
Led by circus master Daniele Finzi Pasca, La Verita debuted in Montreal, Canada, in 2013, and has since been performed in 20 countries around the world in front of more than 300,000 spectators.
Mad Tristan was painted in 1944, and portrays the 12th century tale of the adulterous love affair between the Cornish knight Tristan and the Irish princess Iseult.
