SEOUL, Nov. 29 (Korea Bizwire)The NC Dinos announced Friday they will bring back the reigning South Korean home run king Matt Davidson.

The Dinos said Davidson signed for up to US$1.5 million, with $300,000 available in incentives, for the 2025 Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) season, and the club has an option for a $1.7 million deal for 2026 that can be exercised after next season.

In 2024, his first in South Korea, Davidson led the KBO with 46 home runs and ranked second with 119 RBIs. He also finished second with a .633 slugging percentage and third with a 1.003 on-base plus slugging.

Davidson also pieced together a 22-game hitting streak, a new league record by a foreign player and a Dinos franchise mark as well.

The Dinos called Davidson “a game changer” on the field and an exemplary leader off the field, adding they will count on big numbers from him next year now that he is fully acclimated to the KBO.
