SEOUL, Nov. 7 (Korea Bizwire) – The wedding of the “Song-Song Couple” was an international event, with Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi attending and French luxury brand Dior designing the bride’s wedding gown.
Through its official Instagram account, Dior showed behind-the-scenes photos of how the white dress composed of satin silk was put together.
After sewing together cotton sheets to weave together a dress, sheets of satin silk were cut out and fitted to the body.
A description of the creative process as well as congratulations to the newlyweds accompanied the photos on Dior’s social media posts.
This isn’t the first time that Song Hye-kyo has adorned one of Europe’s top luxury brands. In 2007, the South Korean actress teamed up with French luxury brand Celine to design a variation of its bittersweet bags titled the “Miss Song Bag”, which was released as a limited edition. Song also modeled for German designer Karl Lagerfeld in 2012 for his book “The Little Black Jacket: Chanel’s Classic Revisited”.

The wedding dress (not the one pictured) wasn’t very flattering on her though. I wonder what her stylist was thinking. Although their destination choice for their honeymoon I couldn’t disagree with. I was in Spain last year for a friend’s wedding. It was arranged by this global wedding marketplace called IBride.com and the venue is one of the oldest wineries in Spain. We had a few days to sightsee and we absolutely loved the architecture, the food, and the culture.
