SEOUL, May 28 (Korea Bizwire) — On Friday afternoon at a McDonald’s store in Seoul, people were seen lining up in front of kiosks to buy the “BTS meal” introduced early that day.
The U.S. fast food giant released the BTS meal, in collaboration with the K-pop supergroup, in 10 countries on Thursday morning.
McDonald’s employees were spotted wearing new uniforms with the inscription of Korean letters that indicate each initial consonant of the word BTS.
ARMY, the band’s dedicated global fan base, began posting ‘proof shots’ of BTS meals on social media with hashtags like ‘#BTSMeal’.
By 4 p.m., more than 800,000 tweets with the hashtag #BTSMeal had been posted online.
